How to access Windows shared folder on Pear Linux 7

Pear Linux 7 comes with a brand new design Finder application. Its slightly different with the previous version. On this tutorial I will show you how to access the remote Windows shared folder or remote samba shared folder from Pear Linux 7.

1. Open Finder and click the setting icon located on the top right of Finder.

pearlinux-connect-server

Next, click Connect to Server and the new window will be opened

pearlinux-connect-server-1

On the server address, type the remote server IP address or hostname and the shared folder name. For example:

smb://server/public

This mean, I want to connect to the remote server called "server" and the shared folder name is "public". We can also type the IP address instead of host name

smb://192.168.1.100/public
