Gambas is a powerful and rich features development tool in Linux. Gambas is similar to Visual Basic in Windows but Gambas is not Visual Basic. Gambas 3 can be installed directly from Pear OS 8 since its already listed on Ubuntu repository. To install Gambas 3, I prefer to use Ubuntu Software Center. It works for me.
Open Ubuntu Software Center and type Gambas. Gambas 3 should be listed on the search result. Click it and press Install to start the installation. When finished, Gambas 3 will be listed on Launchpad. Now you can start coding to create your own application using Gambas 3. I hope I can write more about Gambas 3 in the future.
