Finally, the most advanced Linux distribution has been released. Pear OS 8 is now here. Explore the beauty of Pear OS 8 and enjoy the new experiences on using Linux as your main operating system on your PC.

The Pear OS 8 desktop is way better than the ordinary Gnome 3 or KDE interface. It has a main dock at the bottom of the desktop which can be moved to upper, right or left easily. With this dock, access to frequently used program is faster and easier. Launchpad button gives full access to the entire installed applications.

On default Pear OS 8 installation you will only have very basic applications such as Firefox, Musique, Theater, Thunderbird and some others. You won't find any office applications such as LibreOffice or OpenOffice. But, you can easily install these applications later via it's software center. I suggest to install Kingsoft Office on you Pear OS 8.

Additional features:

Pear OS 8 comes with some useful applications which are not found on any other distributions. They are Musique, Theater (modifications of VLC), MyPear 6, Clean My Pear.

Clean My Pear

Clean My Pear is a special application to clean up Pear OS 8 from any internet garbage, delete your trash automatically. Its a useful application to keep your Pear OS 8 free from unused files.

My Pear 6

My Pear 6 got some upgrade features. This application is used to manage and to customize the Pear OS 8 looks and usability. You can change themes, font size, hide computer icon etc. You can also change the appearance of the dock using this My Pear 6.

There are still many features to explore on the new Pear OS 8. Personally, Pear OS 8 is the best, the most beautiful Linux distribution so far. Keep it up guys....
