Install Ubuntu One on Pear OS 8

Since Pear Cloud service still in development and currently does not accept new user creation, I highly recommend Pear OS users to use Ubuntu One cloud storage to store your files online.

As you see above, when I click Create a Pear ID, I was redirected to a 404 web page which is under maintenance. I hope this will be solved soon and we can start using Pear Cloud service. And I think its a good idea to switch to Ubuntu One storage.

How to install Ubuntu One on Pear OS 8

First, go to Ubuntu Software Manager and type Ubuntu One. There will several application listed on the search result. Click on Ubuntu One and press Install.

Once finished, you can start loggin in to Ubuntu One or simply create a new ID. You will get few gigabytes of free online space to store your files, music, video etc. Its pretty cool.
